Travel Expected to be Up Over Labor Day

The number of Americans traveling this Labor Day weekend is expected to increase 9.9 percent from 2009, with some 34.4 million travelers taking a trip at least 50 miles from home, according to AAA.

AAA expects an increase of about 10 percent over 2009 in the number of Americans traveling over the Labor Day holiday weekend. About 34.4 million people will travel at least 50 miles from home, according to AAA. That's up from about 31.3 million in 2009.
