Questions You Should Ask For Private Vacation Rentals in Florida

Are you considering taking a vacation to Florida? Maybe you want to visit beautiful Daytona Beach, some of the beaches on the Gulf of Mexico, Disney World in Orlando, the Space Station, or perhaps you want to enjoy the night life of Miami. Whatever the case, you’ll need accommodations while you are there. One of the options available to you is to go with private vacation rentals in Florida. However, there are a few questions you should as before you make the reservations final. Here are a few questions you should definitely be asking.

Question #1 – Are Linens Provided?
You’ll definitely want to find out whether or not the linens are going to be provided to you. There are some rentals that will provide all of the linens for you, while you’ll have to bring your own for others. You don’t want to be caught unawares when you show up, only to have to go out and purchase brand new linens for your stay. So, make sure you check into this before you rent.

Question #2 – Where Do I Get the Keys
Another question to ask before you finalize your private vacation rentals is where do I get the keys to the home I’m renting. This is pretty important, since the last thing you want to do is drive around for hours trying to chase down the keys to your rental. Find out how and when you get the keys – and do this before you get there.

Question #3 – What Are the Directions to the Rental?
Getting the directions to the rental from wherever you’re coming from is important. No one wants to start out a vacation by getting lost on the way to their accommodations. Just make sure you get good directions so you can easily find your way to the rental and start relaxing and enjoying your vacation right away.

Question #4 – When do I Check In?
Find out when check in time is as well. Depending on where you go, check in times can vary. You don’t want to arrive thinking you can check in, only to have to wait a few more hours before you can get into the rental. Whether you’re renting in Miami or somewhere else in the state, find out when you can check in, and while you’re at it, find out what time check out is as well.

Question #5 – Are Pets Allowed?
If you have a pet, find out if pets are allowed in the rental. There are some rentals that will allow pets, but most of them will charge an extra deposit fee. Find out before you decide to show up with your pet, only to be turned away if they don’t allow pets.

Question #6 – Can I Smoke in the Rental?
Last of all, if you’re a smoker, find out if you can smoke in the rental. Many rentals are non smoking unless they’re owned by a smoker. Even if you have a hard time finding one that allows smoking, you can ask if they mind if you smoke outside. This way you don’t smoke in the home but you can still go outside to smoke if you want to.

Why my Teen Should Travel

November 23rd, 2009

There are a lot of people who wonder if it’s a good idea to let teens travel. But there are a lot of good reasons why they should. Listed below are the top reasons why it’s a good idea to let teens travel.

New Experiences

The first reason that teens should travel is that it gives them the chance to have new experiences. When a teen is always around their town and seeing the same things every day, they don’t have the chance to have new experiences. But when they go to another town or another state, or even another country, they get to taste different food, see different things, and do different things.

Educational

The second reason that teens should travel is that it can be educational. Even Disney World can be educational if you go to Epcot Center. But especially on teen trips where they are digging up with anthropologists or other constructive things, a trip can be very educational. This is especially true when a teenager goes to another country or someplace in their own country that has a lot of historic value.

Relaxing

The final reason that teens should travel is that they need to relax. With pressures from school and sports and a lot of other things, teens have as much stress as adults do, so they need to relax as much as adults. Traveling gives them the chance to relax and to have some fun.

As you can see, there are three really good reasons for teens to travel, and they are just the beginning. Teens want to travel for the same reasons that adults do, and those are the reasons that they should be given the chance. They are at an uncertain time in their lives and they need to be able to experience new things.

Travel Safety Issues in Orlando

October 27th, 2009
This week yet another sexual assault incident at a Water Park, this time Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, was covered by the local press . It may seem like there have been dozens of reports this year, but it’s really just a handful. That’s not to downplay the severity of any incident, but it shouldn’t be taken as a trend.
